Namory is hosting a 3-week workshop of traditional West African drumming in Sangbarala, Guinea from January 5 to January 26, 2013. 

Space is limited to 10 students.  

The $1200.00 price includes:

• Transportation from / to the airport
• A shared room
• 3 meals a day
• 5 hours of lessons a day for 5 days a week (lessons include a combination of drum and dance) 
• The opportunity to attend local fetes

Things to know:

• Malaria preventative is required for staying in the village.  Yellow Fever vaccination is required for entry into Guinea.  Please check with your health care professional for information on any other required or recommended immunizations. 
• Your passport must be valid for 6 months beyond the end of your visit.
• A visa is required to enter Guinea, please check with your local embassy for information on acquiring your visa.  This process should be started well in advance of the trip.
• A few weeks before the trip, we will send detailed information and recommendations for preparing for life in the village.
